Deniro was born in the South Bronx, in July 1982. He discovered
his love for hip-hop at the age of 10. As he began writing his own
rhymes he was influenced to do so by rappers like the Notorious
B.I.G, Big Daddy Kane, Snoop Dogg, Jadakiss, Nas and Jay-Z. He perfected
his craft on the corners of East 174th street in his South Bronx
neighborhood. Realizing what it took to make it in the rap game,
he started to make his rounds on neighborhood mixtapes; rapping
on whatever beats he could find.
Once the tapes circulated, people started to notice the same thing
he thought- he was taking his talent to the next level. Deniro's
trademarks are his ferocious flow, heavy word-play, keen personality
and slick metaphors. Being able to write songs is what really sets
Deniro apart from other up and coming rappers, impressing industry
insiders, artist and multi-platinum producers alike. After growing
tired of looking for production to rap over Deniro started making
his own. Inspired and influenced by the likes of The Neptunes, Timbaland,
Swizz Beatz and Dr Dre, Deniro formulated his own production sound.
Mixing hard drums, synth sounds and heavy bass lines, Deniro has
created a backdrop that the hip-hop industry has yet to experience.
When he started to produce for himself as well as other artists
this made him become more involved with the direction of his music
not only lyrically, but also from a producers standpoint.
Along with rapping and producing came recording and engineering
his own albums. The frustration of doing all of this alone made
him seasoned for the grind of the rap game. Gradually this progression
in his career caused Deniro to be more focused on getting a recording
deal for his Arsun Records imprint, which was founded in the summer
of 2000. Deniro is poised to bring the crown back to The Bronx.
With more than 10 albums worth of music, the streets and superstar
quality music behind him , it's just a matter of time before he
is no longer the best kept secret in the rap game.
