Amen was born in November of '83, raised in Spanish Harlem, until his Brooklyn relocation in Spring of '96. "I was always writing and always thought of doing music seriously, but I didn't really become focused on it until about 2001 or 2002. It's been a steady progression, because truthfully, I was awful. No real identity on the mic, and no real confidence in who I was as a person equated to some pretty bad music. I've still got a lot of room for growth, a lot of dues to pay, and a lot of stripes to earn, so I hope those of you who's ears I have caught keep them with me, because you'll never be able to say that you know exactly what I'm about... sheeeiit.. I'm still figuring out all the details myself."
